Ricky Gervais: Bottom Line is he ‘Doesn’t Care’ If Anyone Was Offended By Jokes at Golden Globe Awards

This years Golden Globe host Ricky Gervais seems to be causing quite a stir in Hollywood. It would appear that not all of his jokes were appreciated by his celebrity friends or the event organizers.
Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Philip Berk told The Hollywood Reporter that, “He (He being Ricky Gervais) definitely crossed the line. And some of the things were totally unacceptable. But that’s Ricky.”
“I had absolutely no idea what Ricky was going to say so anything I heard was heard was the same time you heard it,” Berk said. “When you hire Ricky Gervais, you expect the unexpected.
Now it seems according to Rob Shuter of PopEater that one Hollywood Foreign Press Association told him that Gervais will not return as host — nor will he ever get nominated for a Golden Globe. Nice going there Ricky!
“Ricky will not be invited back to host the show next year, for sure,” the HFPA member said. “For sure any movie he makes he can forget about getting nominated. He humiliated the organization last night and went too far with several celebrities whose representatives have already called to complain.”
What were they thinking in the first place, have they never seen Gervais in any interviews or watched his shows?
