Kevin Costner Oil Spill Hero?

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

Kevin Costner is coming to rescue us from the giant oil spill! Hurrah!

For four weeks, BP has been trying to stem the leak on the massive oil well, and nothing has helped to stop the millions of gallons of oil  spilling into the Gulf of Mexico.

BP has literally run out of ideas on how to stop the leak and is accepting suggestions from the public. No jokes — if you have an idea, call the tipline! Kevin Costner did!

In fact, next week, BP has plans to test an idea from the “Waterworld” star — a  centrifuge machine that separates oil from water. Costner has apparently invested more than $24 million on developing centrifuge technology that can be dropped into the slick to start separating  the oil from the water, and storing the petroleum in tanks.
