Kate Middleton Registers to Tie The Knot while the fashion world waits to see who will dress the bride!

Saturday, November 20th, 2010

Newly-engaged Kate Middleton visited the Westminster Abbey to register for her upcoming nuptials to Prince William

Kate seen here with her parents Carole Elizabeth and Michael Francis Middleton, looked confident and collected.

Now the question on everyone’s lips in the fashion world is; who will dress the bride?

The media now has a whole season and a half to speculate about what her wedding dress will look like and which lucky designer will get the enormous privilege/pressure of creating it.

Issa seems to be favorite with the press at the moment being one of Kate Middleton’s favored labels.  The label is designed by Brazilian Daniella Helayel, who is based in London.

That may change.  Middleton’s will be much in the limelight as the Big Day draws near, and there will be more fashion pressure on her. Royal reporter Judy Wade says:

“I don’t think anyone could be prepared for what’s going to happen now. Kate thinks she’s prepared, but from now on, when she goes out in public, there will be chaotic madness … From now on, it’s life with the royals.”

Katie is renowned for her dislike of being photographed but England’s newest princess will have to get used to the idea pretty soon with all the attention that she has already started to receive that will undoubtedly increase as time goes on.

It was announced on the BBC News following the official statement by Clarence House that Prince William and Kate Middleton both 28, will marry next year.

William who is second in line to the British throne and Kate Middleton who became engaged in October whilst holidaying in Kenya, will marry in London next spring or summer.  The couple will live in north Wales, while he is serving with the RAF.

Dickie Arbiter, the Queen’s former press secretary, told the BBC: “She’ll become a service wife.

“He’ll have to do his statutory royal duty, his royal bit, but he will be very much a working helicopter pilot with RAF search and rescue for the next three years, and Kate will have to get used to living in north Wales, although I think she’s pretty much used to it at the moment.”

They began dating eight years ago while studying at St Andrews University in Fife, where they shared a house.

Miss Middleton, who is six months older than William, was credited with persuading the prince to stay on as he struggled to adjust to university life during his first year.  They graduated in the same ceremony from St Andrews in 2005 and their families joined them for a celebratory lunch.

The royal engagement was announced in a brief statement released by Clarence House.

It said: “The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.

“The wedding will take place in the spring or summer of 2011, in London. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.

“Prince William has informed the Queen and other close members of his family.

“Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton’s father.”
