Sam Elliott in ‘November Christmas’: Heart-Warmer, or Eye-Roller?

Monday, November 29th, 2010

Hallmark’s latest production November Christmas, a story of how neighbors (Sam Elliott and Karen Allen) help a family trying to cope with their daughter’s illness.  Fearing his daughter won’t survive the holidays, the father (John Corbett) comes up with a plan to help her have a festive Halloween in August and a magical Christmas in November.

In an interview with the San Antonio Express-News, Elliott said he’s a fan of the sentimental nature of the movie:

I think it’s a good thing. In these cynical times we live in, it’s hard to come by this kind of material, yet Hallmark comes up with it consistently.

Yeah, I guess they do at that.

November Christmas aired last night on CBS.

Also available on DVD.

Gwyneth Paltrow “Umbrella/Singin’ In the Rain” Full Performance

Saturday, November 20th, 2010

Gwyneth Paltrow‘s performance as guest appearance on this week’s episode of Glee The Substitute met with rave reviews.

Weeks after wowing the nation with her live performance at the Country Music Awards and on the heels of her new movie Country Strong Gwyneth is proving that she is a talented singer.

In 2000 Paltrow recorded the song Cruisin with Huey Lewis with more than favorable reception.  The song went platinum in Australia, as well as her other song on the same soundtrack: Bette Davis Eyes.

We have a feeling, however, that the world will be hearing much more of the Oscar winning actress’ vocal skills.

Did you enjoy her performance with Matthew Morrison (Will Schuester)?

Joseph Cerniglia who appeared in Kitchen’s Nightmares commits suicide!

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010

Joseph Cerniglia who appeared in Kitchen Nightmares was found dead in New York’s Hudson River late last week.  His death was ruled as suicide.

This is the second incident where a Gordon Ramsay reality show participant commits suicide.

The first was Rachel Brown, who shot herself to death in her family’s Dallas home in 2007.  The incident happened one year after coming in fifth on the chef’s competition show.

Officials received a 911 call about Cerniglia’s body on Friday afternoon, shortly after getting calls about a man who jumped off the George Washington Bridge.

When he competed on the show in 2007, Cerniglia was in debt and struggling to keep his New Jersey restaurant Campania.

He claimed at the time:

“I’m financially in trouble — the debt of the restaurant alone is overwhelming. My personal debt — wife, kids mortgage — that’s a lot of debt,” he told Ramsay on the show. “I owe my purveyors about $80,000 right now in cold, hard cash… I can’t see us going on another year.”

Ramsay renovated the restaurant and helped give the staffers pointers on how to run their business better and it steadily grew more successful.

“The place is really doing well — the parking lot is packed on weekends,” a woman who works at a neighboring tanning salon told the New York Post.

Another employee at the salon added: “[Cerniglia] said Ramsay was intense but that he turned out to be a nice guy, that in the end, he helped him out.”

Cerniglia’s family posted a message on his Facebook page “to thank all of the friends who have sent their condolences,” and also asked for donations to support his widow and their three sons, Evan, Michael and Nicholas.

What a sad event for his family!

Dexter does what he is best at!

    Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Michael C. Hall put on his Dexter the serial killer face to film a scene for the Showtime series.

In the scene, Dexter is dodging agents by hiding behind a luggage cart outside a beachside hotel.   He gets confronted by one of the Agents but manages to sweet-talk his way out of the situation.

Dexter calmly takes a bag from the cart to a nearby vehicle as soon as the Agent leaves.

Hate to think what he has in that bag but you can bet it ain’t gonna be anything too pretty which makes us wonder why we love him so much!

What really happened between Rachel Zoe & Taylor Jacobson?

Ever since last November fans believed that they parted on good terms, but as the season premiered last night it was revealed that she was fired, and are naturally curious! You can find all the details below on video!  Though the episode tried to put it’s focus elsewhere, the publicity the split got before the show went on air has made people very curious.

The former assistant has been accused of stealing and sabotage but has been unable to provide the facts since as a former employee of the company, Taylor was bound by privacy laws in her contract.  But with the revealing opener of the series there seems little doubt that people will be speaking up!

Whatever the outcome, the partnership is definitely over now.  After talking about previous numbers not adding up, they tell her replacement Brad Goreski:

“It’s your department, but at the end of the day you are accountable for everything in that department that goes on – good or bad.”

MTV reality show The Jersey Shore offended a lot of people, so they brought out K-Town, the Korean version of  the MTV hit series . The show is being produced by actor/singer Tyrese who you may have seen lately blocking traffic on Michigan Ave., with Shia LaBeouf.

The show features 4 boys and 4 girls living and partying together in Koreatown, Los Angeles.   The official cast members are Young Lee, Joe Cha, Peter Le body builder and rumored porn star, Steve Kim, Jennifer Field, Scarlet Chan, Violet Kim, and Jasmine Chang.

Besides the HOT bodies (these people all look like professional models) they definitely seem to have more personality and charm than their predecessors and besides the obvious comparisons like Violet Kim is the new Snooki I’m personally on board!

    Thursday, July 8th, 2010

Larry David and Rosie O’Donnell filmed a scene for “Curb Your Enthusiasm” today in New York.

While Larry looked to be having a whale of a time poor Rosie looked somewhat less enthusiastic.

You would have thought it would have dawned on him that Rosie really isn’t a sporty kind of gal!
