Claire Danes Wins 2010 Emmy for Best Lead Actress in a TV Mini-Series or Movie

This year’s recipient of the 2010 Primetime Emmy for Best Actress in a Mini Series or a Movie is Claire Danes for HBO’s Temple Grandin.  Theater vet and one of the top young actresses of her age group Danes has appeared on Broadway in Pygmalion.  Additional stage credits include The Vagina Monologues, the dance piece Edith and Jenny, among others.

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards is airing live coast to coast tonight, on August 29 (8-11 p.m. EST) on NBC, originating from the Nokia Theatre L.A. in Los Angeles.

The awards are being produced by Don Mischer and hosted by Jimmy Fallon.
